Introducing your LRC

Welcome to the Learning Resource Centres. After a lovely hot sunny summer we hope you are now ready to do some work.

The LRCs are here for everybody.

Whether you need a course text book, somewhere to work quietly, need to do research on the internet, want a DVD to watch this weekend, or need to print something out, your LRC is the place to come.

You’ll need to know where to find us.

If you are at Guildford, we are on the top floor of the Jubilee building. At Merrist Wood you can find us in the Harris Centre, and at Farnham we are in Surrey Court on the first floor. It doesn’t matter which campus your course is based at, you can use any or all of our centres.

How we can help

The most successful students are those who use the LRC regularly. Remember that we have staff here whose job it is to help you find the information you need, so do come and ask. We can not only find you information on most subjects, but our sources are guaranteed to be of good quality and up to date. Which means you will get top marks in your assignments.
Remember you will need your ID card with you at all times when using the LRC. You will need it to:
·         borrow a book
·         log on to a computer
·         top up your printer credit
·         have your password reset

Our resources are available 24/7 though Moodle. You can access online databases and e-books as well as our library catalogue.

Over the summer our staff have created a new programme of iSkills. Short interactive session to help you find your way around our resources and develop your study skills. These can be found through the LRC Moodle pages.

Whether you want information on hobbies or holidays, films or fashion, rest or relaxation we can find it for you.
